  • Psychiatric Evaluations

The first appointment focuses on understanding your experience in a comprehensive way. We review your symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, medications, lifestyle factors, and goals to create a shared understanding of what you’d like to improve or change.

    Duration: 60 minutes

  • Treatment Planning and Goal Setting

The first follow-up appointment is generally scheduled one week after the initial intake. At this visit, we go over a personalized treatment plan.
This may include medication options, supplement recommendations, lab work, lifestyle strategies, therapy recommendations, and nervous system/somatic tools based on your goals and preferences.

    Duration: 25–30 minutes

  • Ongoing Care

If you choose to move forward with the treatment plan, we meet regularly to support progress and make adjustments as needed.
Follow-ups are typically scheduled every 2–4 weeks until symptoms are stable.

For patients who are stable on medication management, visits every 6–12 weeks are often appropriate.
In some cases, follow-ups may shift to an as-needed basis.

    Duration: 25-30 minutes

  • Why Private Pay

Renova Psychiatry is intentionally out-of-network with insurance to provide slower-paced, more thoughtful care. This model allows sessions to focus fully on your goals and wellbeing rather than meeting insurance time limits or diagnosis requirements. It also offers flexibility to include integrative approaches—such as lifestyle, lab-based, and supplement guidance—that most insurance plans don’t cover.

  • Fees

Renova Psychiatry is a private pay (cash-pay) practice. We do not bill insurance directly, allowing us to provide highly personalized care that isn’t limited by insurance requirements.

    Initial Evaluation (60 minutes): $250

    Follow-Up Visits (25–30 minutes): $125

Payment is collected at the time of scheduling to reserve your appointment and ensure dedicated time for your care. HSA and FSA cards are accepted.

If you wish to seek out-of-network reimbursement, a superbill (medical receipt) can be provided after each visit for submission to your insurance company. Reimbursement amounts depend on your plan and are not guaranteed, so you may wish to verify eligibility in advance.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24–48 hours’ notice. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a late cancellation fee, as that time is reserved specifically for you.

  • Laboratory and Genetic Testing

In some cases, lab work can help identify nutritional or metabolic factors that influence mood, energy, sleep, focus, and cognitive function. When appropriate, testing may include vitamin, mineral, metabolic, cardiovascular, and nutrient markers. These results can guide supplement recommendations and treatment decisions rather than relying solely on trial-and-error.

Most standard labs can be billed through your insurance, depending on your plan and the laboratory used. If insurance does not apply—or if you prefer not to use it—we also work with low-cost cash-pay labs that offer transparent pricing.

Pharmacogenetic (genetic) testing can also be considered to help understand how your body metabolizes certain medications. This test is optional and not necessary for every patient, but it can be helpful when medication decisions are unclear.

Because genetic results do not change over time, the test is typically done once and can inform medication choices in the future.

  • Regarding Therapy

During our appointments, I provide education, coaching, and reinforcement of skills that support emotional regulation, nervous system stability, and long-term wellbeing. These sessions, however, are not a substitute for full psychotherapy.

For patients who would benefit from ongoing therapy, I encourage working with a licensed therapist alongside medication or integrative treatment. If you’re seeking a therapist, I can provide referrals—many patients work with providers at The Bridge Counseling, and I’m happy to coordinate care when appropriate.

  • Who We Treat

We provide care for adults 18+ who want thoughtful, integrative treatment with an emphasis on brain health and long-term wellbeing.

Appointments are available virtually throughout Arizona, with occasional in-person visits for medications that require vital signs or lab monitoring.
